Civil War Ball - January 9, 2010


Douglas County Fairgrounds Events Center in Castle Rock

The Seventh Annual Civil War Ball is hosted by You Can Live History.  You will learn about the 19th century American culture and etiquette, all while having a terrific time enjoying a score of different types of authentic period dances - ranging from waltzes to reels - all taught by a professional dance teacher and set to common 1800's tunes played by qualified musicians.  You may make it a family event with parents and young adults ages thirteen and older all dancing together.  Refreshments of cookies and punch will also be provided throughout the evening.  We will have a maximum of 400 participants at a cost of $42 per person.  Information available at http://www.civilwarball.com

Colorado ACTS Theater


Colorado ACTS offers theater classes for homeschool students, check out their website...

Colorado ACTS, (Actors Company and Theater School) will be holding their second annual Christmas Craft Fair Fundraiser on November 14th, from 9-3. It will be held at Pinebrooke Community Church on 80th Avenue just west of Simms, Arvada.

We are looking for artists and craftspersons who would like to sell at a booth.
 

We will be advertising locally and spreading flyers through the theater school, the community and Pinebrooke Church.There will be student performances throughout the day as well as a bake sale and lunch served.

Colorado ACTS Theater School - Christmas Craft Fair


Colorado ACTS, theater school, will be having their second annual Christmas Craft Fair at 88th and Simms in Arvada on Saturday, November 14th.

If you know of any interested crafters, artisans, candy makers, face painters, ornament designers, jewelry designers, booksellers, greeting card designers, t-shirt personalizers or other gifty type vendors who would be interested in participating...please email Mary at merryteacher@hotmail.com  for more details and an application.

This is an opportunity that is offered ever year by Young Arts. Students must be in their senior year of high school and can enter in the categories of Cinematic Arts, Dance, Jazz, Music, Photography, Theater, Visual Arts, Voice and Writing.
